This article provides a synthesis of research, which aims to briefly build on the development of socio-emotional skills in school institutions. With a view to a change of thinking supported by the philosophical foundations of Edgar Morin, as well as through the research and studies of Psychologist and Psychopedagogist Anita Lilian Zuppo Abed (Abed) which provided a vast knowledge and collaboration for the study addressed. It emphasizes the commitment of the BNCC (National Common Curriculum Base) to consolidate the obligation of socio-emotional skills from 2020 onwards in the country's school curricula. However, it offers to the teacher-mediator, in the whole school/family/society, the teaching-learning relationship in the process of socio-emotional skills in search of the totality of the student.
