The discourse of brazilian education
archaeology of power in the Jesuit genesis
Keywords:
discourse, brazilian education, archaeology, genealogy, legislationAbstract
Brazilian education is the subject of analysis and discussions, being perceived by society as an essential institution for the development of a society. However, despite this discussion, since the implementation of education in Brazil, with the Jesuits, it is evident that the purposes of education have always been linked to the dominant class, subjugating the dominated. Thus, the present work aims to incite the perception of the discourses presented in Brazilian education through the archeology and genealogy of Michel Foucault, who discusses power and its relations. The methodology used was a literature review on the subject through authors, in addition to Foucault who discuss the subject. Understanding the power relations and roots of Brazilian education is the way to analyze where we are and where we intend to go in order to trace the necessary paths for the education of our country to advance.
