Estrategias para Alertas de Tsunami en Comunidades Vulnerables

Resumen

Este artículo trasciende la advertencia técnica; es un llamado a la acción para los líderes de Salud y Gobernanza en
Brasil, una invitación a transformar la vulnerabilidad costera del país en resiliencia. Propone que la enfermería, con su
cuidado y capilaridad, esté en el centro de esta alerta. Mientras el cambio climático intensifica los desastres globales,
este estudio se enfoca en una amenaza silenciosa que se cierne sobre el litoral brasileño. A pesar de la estabilidad
tectónica, múltiples desencadenantes geofísicos y vulnerabilidades sociales y de infraestructura configuran un
escenario de riesgo que exige atención inmediata y coordinada. Ante ello, proponemos el primer protocolo de
enfermería específico para tsunamis en Brasil. Reconoce el papel crucial de la salud, la defensa civil y la seguridad
pública en todas las fases de la respuesta: triaje, atención a traumas, vigilancia en salud pública y apoyo psicosocial.
Basado en prácticas internacionales y completamente adaptado al Sistema Único de Salud (SUS), buscamos una
estrategia multidisciplinaria profundamente centrada en el ser humano.Alineado con la agenda global de la COP30—
especialmente en los pilares de adaptación, resiliencia y justicia climática—la investigación integra directrices como el
fortalecimiento de alertas tempranas, la comunicación de riesgos y la planificación urbana. En esencia, este trabajo es
un llamado a los formuladores de políticas y a la sociedad civil para adoptar una postura proactiva y ética. Al
incorporar la colaboración interdisciplinaria, Brasil puede proteger a sus poblaciones costeras, transformando la
vulnerabilidad en fortaleza y la anticipación en resiliencia.
