O ENSINO DE HISTÓRIA E GEOGRAFIA NO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL I E EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL
Abstract
ABSTRACT: This article aims to reflect on the relationship between the teaching of History and Geography. We advocate for the importance of both disciplines, which, when properly worked, can contribute to the formation and understanding of human beings: their space, their historically constructed societies and the dynamics involved in spatio-temporal processes. Based on our daily experience in the classroom, on the one hand, we criticize the teaching and learning processes that are disconnected from the students' daily lives and, on the other hand, we point out elements for (re)thinking possible paths. As a result, we realize how important these two subjects are in the school environment, because through them the student can understand more of the external world.
